Young Adults - How Do You Decide?
When I was graduating from high school there were some things I was totally sure about. I knew I was going to college and I knew I was going to serve a mission. Beyond that - totally clueless.
It helps to be anchored in some things you are sure about, but this is the time in your life you've been waiting for and now people are asking you what's next and it's like...uh...college? I guess, but where? Not sure.
How do you decide?
There's family influence, friends and others that push you either by telling you what you should do or by some other way.
How do you decide?
I'm not going to tell what to do with your life,
I'm no guru.
But, I know what conversations can help you decide. There are ways to move this process along.
I can help you manage others expectations of you and help you see what you really want. There is some effort on your part,
I will give you some things to explore that will get you closer to the person you're destined to become.
It's time to dig a little. If you're a little passive, let me help you assert yourself. You and this life are totally worth it, beyond your comprehension.
Actually, some people, by the time the divorce has been finalized are releived on some level.
Perhaps you aren't there yet. Maybe you are still holding out a miracle will happen and reconciliation will happen. I hope so too.
The whole experience of divorce is murky. Chances are, you know someone who has gone through divorce. Your experience isn't exactly like theirs, sometimes talking to them is helpful sometimes you want to shoot yourself.
Don't do that, I want to help you avoid that.
In fact, I believe you can be better than ever, with a little work, maybe a few tears, but we've got to make sure we help you know what is true about you, namely where your true value and worth come from; also, take an honest look at some helpful changes
So apparently, pornography use is a problem. In case you haven't noticed, it's really difficult to stop. It effects you in so many little, subtle ways that are so powerful, it's insidious.
Call me when you're sick and tired of being sick and tired.
We'll use some of the best tools possible to help you overcome this.
We'll look at all sorts of barriers to overcoming the porn problem. In many cases, the porn problem isn't just about the porn is it? Those other things will be addressed to promote a happier outcome for you.
We'll assess your routine, sense of purpose, how you make decisions on meaningful interactions and connections.
If you're up to it, we'll utilize hypnotherapy tools to enhance your abilities.
Our brains react to pornography the same way an alcoholic might react to seeing a drink advertisement. Voon, V. (2014) Neural Correlates of Sexual Cue Reactivity in Individuals with and without Compulsive Sexual Behaviours. University of Cambridge. There is a positive correlation between an increase in pornography use and the likelihood of adults believing violence against women is acceptable. Hald, G., Malamuth, N. & Yuen, C. (2010). Pornography and attitudes supporting violence against women: revisiting the relationship in non experimental studies. Aggressive Behavior, 36, 14-20.
